I quite agree.  Standard legal directories, such as the one we have at our
site would I not think present any problems.  I have however noticed
advertisements (and actually seen a couple) for sites that actually provide
formal referrals.  Attorney A signs up, agrees to abide by certain
guidelines.  A visitor to the site then fills out a form and then gets a
referral for an attorney who has registered with the service.  I am sure
there are various permutations of this basic concept; but I believe this is
the idea.
